ELIZABETH METHVIN TONEY
Elizabeth Methvin, the daughter of Levi and his second wife Anna Massengale, was born in Madison County, Alabama between 1825-1830. She married Lorenzo D. Toney in Madison County, on February 29, 1847. The Toney's were living in Limestone County, Alabama at the time of her father's probate in 1849, however, they are listed in the 1850 Madison County census. The ages are listed as 30, however this is wrong according to the 1830 and 1840 census, where she is listed as being under 5 years old and 10-15 years old respectively.

By 1860, the Toney's had moved to Izard County, Arkansas, in the township of Mill Creek. The census record is very hard to read. The ages are off on Lorenzo and Elizabeth, possibly should be 37 and 33. Mary Methvin Kirk,, Elizabeth's sister and her son Joseph were living with the Toney's.
